Abstract

The article contains a re-edition of P.Vindob. G 30904, which has been identified as “notice about the release of a slave or a prisoner” according to the heading in its edition in Sammelbuch. Instead the papyrus contains a short, but visually impressive note, consisting only of an invocation, note of dispatch and address. It obviously served as a kind of consignment note accompanying a parcel, which itself is not designated in the letter.
