Abstract

The article contains a re-edition of P.Vindob. G 30904; which has been identified as “notice about the release of a slave or a prisoner” according to the heading in its edition in Sammelbuch. Instead the papyrus contains a short; but visually impressive note; consisting only of an invocation; note of dispatch and address. It obviously served as a kind of consignment note accompanying a parcel; which itself is not designated in the letter.
