New readings of edited stone inscriptions are not an unusual phenomenon in epigraphic practice, but only rarely do longer text passages with historically significant content become accessible again thanks to improved recording techniques. One such stroke of luck is an inscription in Greith (pol. district of Murau, Styria), which is walled into the old schoolhouse there.
