This article offers a revised edition of two poorly published late antique inscriptions. The first one reveals a cult of saint Michael related to two previously unknown villages of Asia Minor, probably in Phrygia. It also mentions the keepers of a prison, maybe located on the Ephesian Agora. The next inscription is a rare epigraphic testimony of a cryptographic code originating from Roman Egypt, more widely used later in Byzantine manuscripts.
