The article focuses on the possibilities of commerce between the cities of the Black Sea area and Athens in the early Hellenistic period, especially during Antigonid control over the Athenian Polis (307-301 BC.). On the basis of literary as well as epigraphic sources, we try to demonstrate, that the trade relations with the Pontus continued to exist and were not significantly endangered by Lysimachus.
