Abstract

The verbal monstrosity Menedemerumenus is found 24 times around the graffiti of Pompeii. All these texts seem to have been written by three writers who either knew or were inspired by each other. Because of the find spots of the graffiti it could be possible that the inhabitants of the Casa dei Quattro Stili and the Casa del Menandro were the authors of these graffiti.
