A decree from 170/169 honours the Athenian philosopher Satyros, son of Philinos, another one from 130/129 was dedicated to the philosopher Alexander, son of Alexander. Both inscriptions are from Larisa in Thessaly. The two texts give new insights into the connections between philosophers and the Hellenistic gymnasion.
