Abstract

An elegant funerary stele was immured in the southern wall of the small church of sv. Lenart (St. Leonard) at the village of Spodnje Gameljne (Tafel 8, Abb. 1), some 9 km to the north of Ljubljana (= Emona); in 1997 it was removed from the wall, transported to the National Museum of Slovenia and replaced with an excellent cast.
