Abstract

Until very recently our knowledge of this defixio rested on the copy that Wilhelm Judeich made when shown it by an Athenian antique dealer in whose possession it was. The tablet, which in 1913 was found with two others in a drawer in the Keeper's Room in the Ashmolean Museum, has been re-examined by David Jordan.
