Two Papyri Recording Loan Repayments

Abstract

The writing of this medium brown papyrus runs parallel with the fibers; there is no writing on the back. Line length cannot precisely be determined, but reconstructions  based on formulaic parts of the extant text indicate that we have from 1/4 to 1/3 of  each line. There is a top margin of 2 cm, and the text has been broken off at both sides and at the bottom.
