Melitian Monks at Labia

Abstract

In 1890 A. H. Sayce published two tine Byzantine documents dceds of, apparently,
the sale of two Melitian monasteries at Ar inoe (Sayce 1890, 131 - 144). He said that
they had been found the year before by Flinders Petrie at Hawara, just a few miles from
Arsinoe, but gave no indication that there were in fact three documents.
