Abstract

Edition of P.Birm. 46D (r-v), the front of which contains a fourth-century list of items jewelry and the reverse containing a list of medicinal herbs. Among the jewelry items is a necklace with pendants shaped like small animals, a small boat, and possibly figs. The reverse mentions a medicinal plant, γοργονίον, and possibly a plant (ἀμαζονικά) noted by Galen for use in producing lozenges. The items in the lists were prepared for clients, but there are no details clarifying the location or purpose of their manufacture.
