Abstract

Edition of a papyrus of the Papyrussammlung of the Austrian National Library; lease contract dating 2 December 510; Two men, a priest by the name of Papnuthius and Aurelius Dioscorus, from an apparently unattested hamlet of the Arsinoite nome, take under lease 40 arouras situated around the hamlet Piamouei. The land belongs to a vir clarissimus who is styled magister of an uncertain military unit.
